Uithoorn centre

Uithoorn has blue zones for parking on the car park area in front of the town hall, in part of Meerlaan, the street parallel to the Laan van Meerwijk, the Amstelplein square, a part of Heijermanslaan and the land next to the shopping mall on Arthur van Schendellaan.

 

Car-parks in Uithoorn

Uithoorn has two multi-storey car-parks. Their opening hours are linked to the shop opening hours. After the shops close, you can no longer exit. PARKING HERE IS FREE.

Amstelplein - Amstelplein 24 - 1423 CN Uithoorn

  • Mon to Sat from 6:30 am to 9:15 pm


Prinses Irenelaan - Prinses Irenelaan 1 - 1421 AN Uithoorn.

  • Mon to Thu from 08:30 am - 8:00 pm (Fri to 9:00 pm)
  • Sat from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

Handicapped parking

With a European handicapped parking card you can park free of charge for as long as you need in special handicapped parking spaces and in the paid parking spaces on the street.

P+R

If you want to take a day-trip to Amsterdam, and don't want to use public transport from Uithoorn to Amsterdam, then you can opt for one of the many Park & Ride multi-storey car-parks. These offer cheap parking on the edge of the city. From there, you can easily travel with public transport to the central area of Amsterdam.

 

Parking costs and times

  • Travel in on working days before 10.00 am: EUR 8.00 for the first 24 hours, then EUR 1.00 per 24 hours.
  • Travel in on working days after 10.00 am: EUR 1.00 per 24 hours.
  • Travel in on the weekend: EUR 1.00 per 24 hours.

 

Price for P+R parking and public transport card from GVB

  • 1 person: EUR 5.50
  • 2 persons: EUR 5.50
  • 3 persons: EUR 6.50
  • 4 persons: EUR 7.50
  • 5 persons: EUR 8,50

 

What do you need to do?

  • Park in one of the P+R parking locations.
  • If there is one, use the special entrance or press the button for P+R.
  • Travel using public transport to the central area of the city and then travel back to the P+R location, again with public transport. The P+R GVB card is valid for one hour to travel into the centre and valid for the return journey for one hour.
  • Don't forget to check in and check out each time when entering and leaving the public transport.
  • On the return journey back to the P+R make sure that your last check-in occurs in a public transport stop in the central area. To qualify for the reduced P+R parking rate you need to pay your parking fee within one hour of checking out from your return journey.

 

Paying

You can only pay your parking fees using a credit card with pin (MasterCard/Visa) at the payment machines on the site. You pay your parking fee when you leave the car park.


Travelling with the GVB night bus


GVB buses, trams and metro lines run from 6:00 am until about 12:30 am. At night there are night buses.  You can also claim a reduced P+R parking rate when you use the GVB night bus. You then need to buy the night bus ticket from the driver. The P+R GVB ticket is not valid on the night bus.
